I am invisible

 EVERYBODY CAN SEE THAT!

Do you remember when you were very young and thought that you were invisible just because you closed your eyes and couldn't see anything?

We sometimes behave like that even when we are grown-ups.

We just close our eyes and pretend to be invisible .

Sometimes we do that because we are afraid of something

  • like criticism
  • like too much attention
  • like too much responsibility
  • like shaming
  • like hate
  • like love .

When we choose to be invisible, it is mostly because we are afraid of any consequence our full presence could have.

  • We might dress in a very modest way.
  • We might move very restraint and cautious.
  • We might speak at a low voice.
  • We might always be punctual and have everything right, all the time.
  • We might never express our own opinion.
  • We might never take a different path to a destination.
  • We might never sing.
  • We might never laugh.
  • We might never look somebody in the eye.
  • We might avoid confrontation at all costs.
  • We might suppress our true feelings and emotions.
  • We might avoid making any waves or causing any disturbance.
  • We might hesitate to ask for help or support.
  • We might refrain from pursuing our passions and dreams.
  • We might shy away from leadership roles or opportunities.
  • We might avoid standing up for ourselves or others.
  • We might hide our talents and abilities.
  • We might refrain from trying new things or taking risks.
  • We might avoid engaging in deep or meaningful conversations.
  • We might avoid forming close relationships or connections.
  • We might constantly seek approval or validation from others.

The most disturbing variety of invisibility I find is the invisibility for ourselves .

When I dove into the matter, I found that I was hiding from myself.

Do you recognize any of the patterns?

Do you dare to be seen by yourself with loving eyes ?
